Head of Department: House Sales and Private Collections

Joe Robinson joined Dreweatts in 2018 and, shortly after, led the formation of the House Sales and Private Collections department.

As Head of House Sales and Private Collections, Joe leads the department’s strategic direction, and its energetic calendar of sales, driving Dreweatts' establishment as the auction house of choice for significant historic and single owner collections. He has been instrumental in elevating the company’s profile, working with the Press and Marketing departments to forge landmark brand collaborations, and pioneer innovative approaches that have redefined how major collections are managed and presented to the market.

Renowned for his sensitive and intuitive approach to project management and presentation he works in close partnership with our Chairman, Will Richards, to oversee the end-to-end experience of clients looking to consider and rationalise their collections, ensuring a meticulously executed journey from valuation and storage to catalogue production, exhibition, and post-sale settlement. His departmental leadership has been central to the success of numerous benchmark auctions that have helped fortified Dreweatts’ reputation both nationally and internationally.

Joe has directed many of the company’s most acclaimed single-owner sales.
