Phillip King is primarily known for his large scale, brightly coloured steel sculptures, which established him as an influential member of the New Generation Sculptors in the 1960s. ‘Ubu’s Camel’ (pictured here) from The Sculpture Park shows King as a sensitive modeller, and is more akin to the smaller clay sculptures of his early career.
Tomorrow we have The Sculpture Park: Works Selected by Eddie Powell | Tuesday 16 July, 10.30am | Donnington Priory
