Hatfields

Restoration, Conservation & Fabrication

Hatfields are world leading craftsmen experienced in restoration, conservation and fabrication, working with important period objects from the 16th Century to contemporary design.

Hatfields was founded in 1834 by John Ayres Hatfield as a bronze and ormolu manufacturer in London. His son was awarded a royal warrant from Queen Victoria and expanded into new furniture workshops. The company quickly established a reputation as the leading firm of craftsmen, restoring and conserving furniture and works of art for trusts, private and museum collections, interior designers and dealers.

Hatfields’ restoration work can be viewed on many pieces in public collections: at the Louvre Museum in Paris, at the Frick Collection in New York, at the Wallace Collection here in London as well as in the Royal Collection both at Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace.
