This summer, the Altered States Open Air Sculpture Exhibition returns from Saturday 1 August to Sunday 27 September. Set on the picturesque Orangery Lawn at the Grade I listed Shaw House manor, the exhibition showcases an inspiring collection of sculptures by acclaimed artists.
Located just a short drive from Donnington Priory, the exhibition is open daily from 11am–4pm, with free admission. After exploring the artwork, relax in the café and coffee shop inside the main house or make the most of the beautiful grounds with a family picnic. It's a wonderful day out for all ages, and dogs on leads are welcome too.
Commenting on the exhibition, curator Jim Crockatt said, "This wonderful exhibition started way back in 2018 because I thought it a fine thing to do. As a sculptor myself, I understood that many artists need to have the public see their works and there are many more gifted artists out there than there are venues to show their work. The Altered States Open Air Sculpture Exhibition opens every summer for two months and welcomes all people possible by having free entrance and a walk round the most magnificent of houses."
