On Thursday 10 September, we are pleased to present a fascinating group of rare Second World War operations-room equipment in our Fine Clocks, Barometers & Scientific Instruments auction. Comprising two RAF ‘sector’ clocks, a Royal Observer Corps electric slave timepiece and a group of map plotting counters, the collection offers a fascinating insight into the systems used to track aircraft in real time and the vital role of precise timekeeping in coordinating Britain’s aerial defence.
