The Sculpture Park: Works selected by Eddie Powell
This summer Dreweatts is delighted to present selected contents from The Sculpture Park, Surrey, in a dedicated auction of modern and contemporary indoor and, primarily, outdoor sculpture. The Sculpture Park’s substantial collection was assembled by artist and collector Eddie Powell, whose eye for unique pieces is the thread that ties together an incredibly diverse array of established artists, upcoming talent and decorative pieces alike.
Highlights
Highlights include bronzes by well-known names such as Michael Ayrton, Phillip King and Sir Jacob Epstein, alongside impressive garden sculptures by ‘driftwood animalier’ James Doran-Webb, a monumental dragon made entirely out of horseshoes, and many more.
The auction will take place on 16 July at Donnington Priory. Selected pieces will be exhibited at Donnington Priory, while the remainder of the sale can be viewed at The Sculpture Park. Catalogue coming soon!
