Coming up this February, we have our Art & Interiors auction. Spanning classic and contemporary design, the auction offers everything from furniture and artworks to lighting, rugs and decorative objects for the home. Starting the auction, we are also pleased to present a curated selection of pieces from the collection of Christopher Hodsoll (Lots 1001-1076).
Christopher Hodsoll is a renowned antique dealer and interior designer based in London. He specialises in sourcing and curating exquisite interiors with antique furniture, artwork, and decorative items. With a keen eye for quality and craftsmanship, his collections often feature a blend of English, French, and Continental pieces spanning various periods, including Georgian, Regency and beyond.
Ahead of the auction, Christopher picks out some of his favourite pieces from the collection.

Lot 1002: A set of eight oak, ebonised, parcel gilt and brass marquetry chairs, the design attributed to George Bullock, four circa 1815, four contemporary by Arlington Restoration | Est. £1,000-1,500 (+ fees)
"Designed by George Bullock, a pre-modern master who, I think, would have been as famous as Chippendale had he not died the age of 41. The four antique Regency chairs were made for the Duke of Palmela."
