Taking place on Tuesday 24 June, we are delighted to present a Grand Tour through some of the finest red wines of Bordeaux and Burgundy.
The auction offers an extensive variety of formats, vineyards and vintages - this collection has been put together over many years with a simple objective…a love of wine.
The Chateaux of Bordeaux have been notable for centuries - from Chateau d’Issan at Henry II’s wedding or Thomas Jefferson’s love of Chateau Haut-Brion. Contrarily the landlocked wines of Burgundy remained largely unknown until the 20th century and although the vineyards have always held a mystique, the great wine makers and families have only risen to prominence in the last 50 years. This cellar is a monument to this change. With only tiny amounts made and allocated accordingly, this sale offers a unique opportunity to own Burgundian wines never seen on the market before.
The entire portfolio is a highlight but do seek out the truly outstanding wines of 2015 and 2016 from Bordeaux.
Large formats from Domaines Jean-Marie Fourrier, Comte Georges de Vogue and Alain Hudelot-Noellat and don’t forget about the wonderful Italian and German offerings concluding the sale!
We hope you enjoy your journey on this Grand Tour.
