Sandridge Park House is a beautiful historic house located at the heart of its own stunning parkland, with views to the south across the Vale of the White Horse to Salisbury Plain and the Mendip Hills. The house was built by Henry Lopez and was completed in 1859.
The selection from Sandridge Park House includes Georgian, Victorian and Continental furniture, carpets, mirrors, Asian and European ceramics, garden ornament and lighting. It was assembled by the vendors over a period of 30 years specifically to furnish their early Victorian country house.
Featuring pieces from the London, Belgravia home of Lord Ballyedmond, the interiors of which were fashioned and furnished to recreate the classic London town house of the late 19th century.
The clock here is probably French or Austrian, its drum features a carved laurel surround and a floral and fruit surmount, supported upon two winged female sphinxes.
