Dreweatts call to support inspirational charity Daisy’s Dream and Celebrate the Memory of Fantastic Husband and Father of Four, Paul Wilson

Jonathan Pratt and Dreweatts are delighted to be galvanising their gavels at this year’s Ball For Paul at Newbury Racecourse on 15 June 2019 to raise funds in support of life-changing charity Daisy’s Dream.

The great event – now in its second year – is not only a fitting tribute to Paul Wilson, a much loved and missed father, husband, family man and friend to many, but also a vital fundraiser for the Berkshire based children’s bereavement charity Daisy’s Dream. Paul died from cancer in 2017 aged just 41. With such life-changing loss and adjustment to make, his wife Sarah and their four young daughters were able to turn to Daisy’s Dream to help steer them through the first very difficult year of their lives without Paul. During those challenging first few months and beyond it gave them all true and tangible hope for their futures.

Daisy’s Dream helps children and young people to weather the many storms that come with illness and bereavement, understand what has happened and learn to move forward in a positive way. With their help, Paul’s family were given invaluable help at a critical time. The entire family feel enormously grateful for the incredible support they received. So much so that after the success of last year’s charitable evening and auction – hosted by BBC Antiques Roadshow and Dreweatts’ specialist Cristian Beadman – they are organising an even bigger and better Ball For Paul on what would have been his 44th birthday. In true ‘go hard or go home’ Paul style, this year the auction will be hosted by another familiar face, Dreweatts’ Managing Director Jonathan Pratt. Father to four himself, Jonathan will be working his little black tie off (even harder than usual) to charm as much cash as possible from everyone attending this fun and worthwhile night.

Even though the event itself is sold out, there is still a fantastic way that you can make an enormous difference to the lives of children experiencing such devastating loss… and that is to donate to Daisy’s Dream today. By giving to this incredible charitable service which responds to the needs of children and families affected by life threatening illness or bereavement across Berkshire and the surrounding areas, you will be transforming the future of a child or young person by helping them cope with the changing dynamics of their young lives and move forward – with their good memories alongside them – into bright and hopeful futures.

Please help Paul’s family smash this year’s target by donating via the link below to ensure Daisy’s Dream can continue to implement their truly life-changing work.
