From the cool Atlantic mists of Oregon to the sun-baked vineyards of Barossa, to encapsulate the variety of wines of the New World into a few sentences is impossible. Whether it is rich buttery chardonnay from the Sonoma Valley to a bright and complex pinot noir from Tasmania, there is no corner of the new world that we are not proud to offer.

Casa Apostolle Clos Apalta 1999
Est. £80-100 (+fees)
Introducing Clos Apalta – from the forthcoming auction: Fine and Rare Wines and Spirits, 26th October; consignments close: 14th September.
A Chilean wine from Colchagua Valley, Clos Apalta Valle de Apalta may be lesser known – in comparison to say Bordeaux’s Château Lafite Rothschild – but, Clos Apalta is often talked about as being one of the world’s greatest red wines. Intense in colour and with a long, velvety finish, its flavours have been likened to kirsch and chocolate.
