Will Green

Antique Dealer & Designer

For almost 70 years, the name Ron Green has been synonymous with fine quality, honest antiques. Will Green, Ron’s great-grandson, is a fourth-generation antique dealer and designer, carrying forward the family legacy while creating and curating pieces with his own distinctive eye and vision. Since launching under his own name in 2020, he has cultivated a space where antiques and design meet, blending heritage with the subtle poetry of contemporary craft.

From childhood, connoisseurship was woven into Will’s daily life. His family have maintained shops in the Northamptonshire market town of Towcester since 1955, and he grew up surrounded by objects that arrived only to depart again, their stories passing through his hands. He recalls long hours spent with his father and uncle, contemplating the curve of a chair arm or the fine patina of a bureau. Being taught to look, and to look intently, from his earliest years is the foundation of Will Green’s extraordinary and quietly persuasive eye for quality.

Joining the family business in his late teens, Will spent over a decade working under the Ron Green name, refining his aesthetic. Led by instinct and a discerning eye, his approach is deeply English yet unconfined, lingering on the romance and “soul” of each piece. Will’s magic lies in the balance he strikes between grand and humble, traditional yet fresh. His antiques are never loud or showy, but quietly command attention, always the finest of their kind. Never over-polished or restored, they are imbued with a charm that is increasingly rare.

Will rejoices in the thin, slightly greyish gleam of tin-glazed blue and white Delft ceramics, the hefty weave of ancient log baskets, or a handsome mahogany chest of drawers, softened with wear near its handles, what he describes as “a time-softened skin.” It is this subtle quality that makes the antiques he finds so desirable, drawing clients including Ben Pentreath, Arne Maynard, Remy Renzullo, Claudia Rothermere, Jake Arnold, Jacquemus and members of the Royal Family.

In addition to exploring this more subtly patinated mood, Will Green’s antiques now extend into lighting, textiles, and decorative objects. “Its core is naturally furniture,” he says. “It’s what my family has always specialised in and where the majority of my knowledge lies. But I also find extraordinary joy in other things, such as pottery, textiles, lighting, and carpets. I apply the same criteria to them as I do furniture: good design, patina, and charm.”

Within his bespoke studio, every piece is painstakingly crafted in England by skilled artisans, with a devotion to materials, detail, and finish that echoes the qualities of the finest antiques. Hand-patinated woods, subtly aged metals, and carefully considered proportions ensure each item feels timeless. His lighting is created using meticulously sourced, one-of-a-kind antique fabrics, each shade hand-sewn, marrying historic charm with romance. Rooted in traditional methods of making yet reimagined with clarity and elegance for modern-day interiors, each curve, joint, and surface of his bespoke collections reflects the same attention to form, charm, and patina that defines the antiques he selects, creating a collection that feels personal, refined, and utterly enduring.

“It doesn’t take me long to decide whether a piece is right,” says Will. It is “a sort of energy” he perceives in the best objects, something innate that he responds to. This split-second judgment may echo the wisdom of the three generations before him, but it is Will’s own instinct that allows him to choose pieces that are rare, timeless, and quietly commanding.
