Rosie Jarvie joined Dreweatts in April 2025 as Picture Specialist in House Sales and Private Collections. She has a wealth of auction experience having previously worked at Christie's for over twenty years as Senior Specialist and Associate Director in the British Art Department with a focus on British Paintings and British Drawings and Watercolours from the 18th and 19th century. While at Christie’s she has worked on numerous successful sales, including the £5.8 million sale of J.M.W. Turner's The Blue Rigi, which set the then world auction record for a British work on paper and more recently identified a rare late venetian Turner work on paper which was successfully sold at auction for over $320,000. She coordinated the Important British Art sales for Christie’s and worked on a number of high-profile single owner collection and house sales. Before joining Dreweatts Rosie worked as a freelance art consultant, writing extended museum quality catalogue entries and articles for publication, advising international institutions on insurance valuations and acceptances in lieu and worked with private clients on collection management. Rosie has a particular interest in the Pre-Raphaelites and early Irish works on paper. She holds a degree in Classics from Oriel College, Oxford.
