Martine de Cervens has worked in Design arts for 40 years, first as a cataloguer at Phillips auctioneers and freelance cataloguer at Christie’s, New York. Moving to London, she was involved in dealing in pre-war glass by René Lalique, subsequently establishing a business for 10 years dealing with collectors and museums in 20th Century Sèvres ceramics. She delivered a lecture on this subject for Société des Amis du musée national de Céramique, Sèvres, who invited her to participate in their series of millennial lectures in 2000. Martine has since worked with Liliane Fawcett, founder of Themes & Variations, the first London gallery to present post-war Design.
