Beulah London is a fashion brand whose commitment to sustainable luxury is underpinned by its work empowering vulnerable women affected by modern slavery.
Beulah London was founded in 2009 by Lady Natasha Finch and Lavinia Brennan after the pair spent time in a rehabilitation centre in Delhi, India, working with women who had been rescued from trafficking and exploitation. Witnessing how sewing skills and sustainable employment could help women rebuild independent lives inspired them to create a fashion business with a social purpose.
Beulah London works with craft communities and impact partners, incorporating techniques such as hand-weaving and embroidery into its collections while helping provide training, income and long-term opportunities for women affected by poverty, trafficking and exploitation. They use fashion as a force for good. From supporting and nurturing their makers and craft communities, to working closely with suppliers to ensure that human and environmental conditions are the best they can be, they are proving that it is possible to eradicate slavery and operate an ethical, sustainable fashion brand.
