Amanda Bradley Petitgas is a Trustee and Chair of the Exhibitions Committee at the Stanley Spencer Gallery. She has curated many exhibitions and has written on a wide range of art historical topics, from sixteenth century Venice to Modern British art. She is chair of the Athena Art Foundation, and was formerly a Pictures and Sculpture Curator at the National Trust; she has also worked at the National Gallery and the University of Cambridge. She was educated at the Courtauld Institute of Art. She most recently contributed to Paul Gough’s book, Gilbert Spencer. The Life of a Very English Artist (with Sacha Llewellyn, Yale, 2024).
