Events at Pall Mall | Autumn 2022
This autumn we have a series of exhibitions taking place at Dreweatts London in Pall Mall.
Sahar Magic: A Photographic Exhibition
Curator Katy Vetch and Dreweatts present SAHAR, a photographic exhibition showing framed photographs taken by and through the eyes of children. The children have been taking part in workshops run by Sirkhane DARKROOM, which is situated in the Turkish city of Mardin, a few miles from the Syrian border. When the children first see an image appearing from the photographic paper in the dim light of the darkroom, they often use the Arabic word for magic: SAHAR.

The Collections from Flaxley Abbey and Chilham Castle
Be amongst the first to see auction highlights from our auctions 'The Collection formerly from Flaxley Abbey: An Oliver Messel Commission' and 'Chilham Castle: The Selected Contents from a Christopher Gibbs Interior'.
Flaxley Abbey is a house with an inescapable feeling of history and warmth, the contents a fascinatingly eclectic selection of works of art, furniture and pictures which have been inherited, collected and worked on by owners, architects and designers spanning over 500 years. Over the centuries Chilham has been under many different ownerships, including Kings of England, as well as a dauphin of France. Since 2002, the castle has been home to the Wheeler Family. With the help of Christopher Gibbs, together with Jane Ormsby-Gore, they set about transforming Chilham from a foreboding country seat to a much loved and enjoyed family home | Find out more here
