Dreweatts 'At Home': A New Series of Monthly Auctions
This October we are excited to be launching Dreweatts At Home, a brand-new series of monthly sales, dedicated to bringing to you inspiring decorative works of art, furniture, upholstery, and pictures, thoughtfully selected for today’s interiors and collectors.
Dreweatts At Home is going 'against the grain', returning to the traditional experience of engaging with the decorative arts at auction.
Throughout these sales you will find a carefully edited selection of works spanning styles, periods and price points, from distinctive one-off finds to items with genuine collecting appeal.
Our new printed 'pocket catalogues' will feature expert insights from iconic tastemakers, as well as promoting the voices of rising stars in the world of interiors.
We also look forward to the opening of our new, purpose build warehouse and gallery space in 2027 where the At Home sales will be available for full viewing in addition to our regular programme of sales at Donnington Priory. This confirms the importance we place on the in-person buying experience and the optimism we hold for the decorative art market.
This, and future, At Home sales will be curated with conviction, presented with creativity and, above all, will endeavour to be rich in inspiration and temptation!
For the inaugural edition this October, we have invited House & Garden Rising Star, Joshua Hale, to guest curate the catalogue, showcasing his favourite works from the sale in specially styled vignettes. We will be sharing his work over the next few weeks across social media as well as throughout the pages of the catalogue.
Also featured in this special first edition is The Collection of George Oakes, former director of Colefax & Fowler and a key figure behind many of the firm's most enduring designs. A selection of highlights from the collection will be showcased in a specially curated window display at Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler on Pimlico Road from 8th-17th September affording an opportunity to see these pieces in an environment synonymous with British interior design.
We hope these catalogue sparks ideas, encourages you to look afresh, and perhaps leads you to something you had not expected to find.
