With A-list celebrities such as Halle Berry, Eva Mendes, Hilary Swank, Penelope Cruz and Rihanna regularly endorsing New York-based fine jewellery design brand Bochic – typified by bold pieces such as Bakelite cuffs and over-sized rings using rarely seen gems or intricately carved materials – this self-assured and luxurious jewellery brand is becoming increasingly desirable and collectable.   

Launched in 2004 by Creative Director David Joseph, the Bochic style is epitomised by an ‘independent spirit, confidence, style, adventure and zest for life…’, with the name Bochic chosen to represent ’someone who is genuine and chic in her own way’.  With aficionados such as Angelina Jolie choosing to wear a pair of rose cut diamond earrings with a matching diamond bracelet in Cannes, they certainly appear to be reaching their target wearer and market. 

Inspired by the rich colours and influences of places such as India, Turkey and the Mediterranean, the team at Bochic also seek inspiration for their original designs by incorporating the current social and cultural influences they come across. From aspects of body language to latest street fashion trends, they are uninhibited to reuse and recycle ideas and styles in order to reinvent and recreate their original pieces. 

Influenced by his earlier career in the film and music industries and inheriting a natural talent from a history of family ties with the British jewellery industry, David Joseph’s and his team’s work has become synonymous with a new style of unique and beautifully crafted pieces. Pushing the boundaries of fine jewellery, the designs are always one-of-a-kind statement pieces that maintain a luxurious timelessness and romance, securing their high-end status as treasures to both celebrate today, and cherish in the future.
