Thirteen accomplished artists

Dreweatts will host an Autumn Art show at Donnington Priory in aid of The Charlie Waller Memorial Trust on 6 October 2018.

Thirteen accomplished artists will donate the commission on their sold works to the charity. The exhibition will showcase works ranging in style from contemporary to traditional and to suit a wide range of budgets. Several of the artists are graduates of Theale Green Academy and Marlborough College.

Raising awareness of depression

The Charlie Waller Memorial Trust based in Thatcham, close to Donnington Priory, was founded in 1997 in memory of Charlie Waller, a young man who took his own life whilst suffering from depression.

The charity raises awareness of depression and fights stigma, by providing training to schools, universities, GPs, nurses and employers. It also encourages those who may be depressed to seek help. On a monthly basis the charity reaches around 4,000 parents, teachers and pupils with its free school training and on average 82 GPs, GP trainers and nurses.

Invaluable help

The show is organised by the committee of supporters headed by Lucy Hanbury and Clare Jacobs.

The charity’s co-founder and Head of Fundraising, Rachel Waller comments: ‘We are absolutely delighted that this wonderful show is again being held in aid of CWMT. The funds raised will be invaluable in helping us educate more people – especially the young – to look after their mental health. We would very much like to thank Dreweatts’.
