2013 Kistler Chardonnay | Wine, Champagne, Port and Spirits | 24 October
After a busy and successful September, where amongst many other wines we saw two cases of Chateau Lafleur sell for a stunning 69.5K per case, first released at £300. Patience is certainly bitter, but the fruit is sweet. This wine remains a powerful legacy to the Robin Sisters, who had transformed and guided this property since 1946, and I am sure they would be both shocked and proud at what this wine is achieving now.
The wine department now looks forward to our next sale on the 24 October. As always, we are delighted to offer an extensive, exciting and often unique selection. I love that every sale is different and individual. All impeccably sourced, so one has full confidence when hitting that next bid button or raising your hand during a sale.
Highlights of the Wine, Champagne, Port and Spirits auction include a lovely small collection of Penfolds Grange from the 1990's - one of my favourite wines and as is the theme of our October newsletter, someone has been patient, so you don't have to be. They all just starting to drink perfectly.
There are some great claret collections for all price points, something that Dreweatts prides itself on providing. Browsing through the sale, which is all I can do these days with two small children robbing me at every turn, there is every corner of the globe represented but I would love to add some 2013 Kistler Chardonnay and Egon Muller's Rieslings to my own cellar. Keep a keen eye out for when it goes live and also for our thrilling November programme, which includes an important single owner collection of Burgundy.

This is a live online auction with an auctioneer. The auction will take place on Tuesday 24 October (starting at 12.00am BST) at our sister auction company – Forum Auctions, but please note all wine and spirits are stored off-site at LCB Eton Park.

Bidding is available online, by telephone or by commission bids through Dreweatts, or in person at Forum Auctions. Please contact Dreweatts to register all commission bids or telephone bids by 12 noon BST the day before the auction.
