Historic Houses

Historic Houses are a cooperative, not-for-profit, association, comprised of well over a thousand independently owned and operated houses, castles, and gardens of major historical importance.

Most of their members are privately owned, lived-in, homes. Many others are charities, museums, businesses, or institutions. Historic Houses represent, advise, and support their member places to ensure that they stay alive for generations to come.

Annually, Dreweatts sponsors the Historic Houses Collections Award. This award celebrates collections that have best recognised new challenges, responded to them innovatively, and reimagined how the public experience them, highlighting the work of curators and conservators.
