David Rees

Director, Silver, Objects of Vertu and Decorative Arts | 董事及银器和装饰艺术专家

David Rees has over 25 years of experience in most aspects of the Fine Art and Antiques sector, having overseen the single-owner sales of the W. D. & H. O. Wills collection of pipes and tobacciana, the Mickleburgh collection of musical and mechanical musical instruments and an extensive collection of Georg Jensen table silver.

From a family of farmers and auctioneers, David soon found more interest in the antiques side of his father’s South Wales business. He began his career with a firm of leading West Country fine art auctioneers in 1983, developing an interest in 20th century Decorative Arts, Books and Collectors’ Items.

Joining the Dreweatts’ former saleroom in Bristol, David expanded the antiques side of the business becoming the director in charge, having particular interests in Decorative Arts, Paintings and Silver. He is now based at Dreweatts’ at Donnington Priory.
