Anne Gerritsen graduated summa cum laude from University College Roosevelt in Middelburg with a BA in Liberal Arts in 2014. She then went on to study a Masters degree in Art History, Curatorship and Renaissance Culture at the Warburg Institute in London where she graduated with distinction in 2015.
Upon graduation, Anne conducted research into 17th century Dutch and Flemish artists working in Naples and Sicily for the RKD Gerson Digital project at the Dutch Institute for Art History in Florence. She also worked as an Assistant Curator of Old Master Paintings at Museum de Lakenhal in Leiden before starting a full-time position as European Fine Art Specialist at Vendu Rotterdam in 2016. Here she gained a broad knowledge of paintings, prints and drawings from the 17th century to the present day. Anne joined Dreweatts as a (temporary) Picture Specialist in 2022 where she is mainly involved with the production of the Old Master, British and European Picture sales.
