With all Proceeds Benefiting WWF

LONDON, Dover Street - Cælestis and auction partner Dreweatts & Bloomsbury Auctions present an online charity auction of biodynamic wine paired with vivid, lively works by upcoming artists on Tuesday 16th July, with all proceeds raised benefiting WWF.

Bidding for this auction is now open at www.theauctionroom.com

The art in the sale celebrates and explores upcoming artists' interpretation of wine, vineyards and grapes. Each of the seven pieces is paired with a bottle of Cælestis Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé biodynamic wine, vintage 2011 from the prestigious Château Fonroque, bearing a label designed by renowned contemporary artist Peter Doig (b. 1959).

Cælestis biodynamic wine originates from the prestigious Château Fonroque Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé and each bottle remains a true rarity, with a different celebrity autographing the uniquely designed wine labels each year.

This summer's auction will also include four bottles the Cælestis Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé biodynamic wine, 2010, dedicated by Hollywood actress Frances Fisher; "Be Health Wealthy + Wise" and five bottles of the Cælestis Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé biodynamic wine vintage, 2009, dedicated by Oscar-winning composer Jan A.P.Kaczmarek; "Pure wine brings great inspiration to my music".

Grazyna Lallemand from Cælestis said; "Shining as new stars, the artwork by these upcoming artists is propelled by the master Peter Doig on an extraordinary artistic journey through the world's vineyards accompanied by the wonderful music of Cælestis Impromptu composed by Oscar-winning composer Jan A.P. Kaczmarek."

The auction house also sold a Peter Doig original on behalf of the same charity partners on Tuesday 30th June and it reached an incredible £49,600 (inlcuding buyers premium). The painting was specially painted for Caelestis to raise funds for WWF and kindly donated by the artist, this shows a vision of the moon for the creation of a special biodynamic wine.

Proceeds from this painting, from the wine auction and works by upcoming artists will go to the WWF fund.
