Dreweatts have Christmas all wrapped up with their first-ever timed online art auction

Style hunters searching for the ultimate in urban chic can snap up a bargain this Christmas as Dreweatts runs its popular art sale online for the first time.

The prestigious regional auction house with salerooms in Mayfair, Newbury, Bristol and Godalming has 148 lots up for grabs in its forthcoming Urban Editions sale, with limited edition prints from acclaimed street artists including Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Mr Brainwash and D*Face.

Urban Editions will run from November 16 to December 6, with buyers invited to view the auction and submit their bids online via either www.i-bidder.com or www.the-saleroom.com.

Mary McCarthy, Director of Urban and Contemporary Art at Dreweatts explained: “Once again we have gathered together a fantastic collection of urban art. We have decided to make this an online-only art auction – our very first – because we know interest will be high. Getting to a saleroom for a traditional auction can be difficult for some people, and with Christmas coming up there will be lots who are looking for special presents.

Rather than trawling the web looking for art, interested buyers can bid in complete confidence knowing all work is authentic.

Featured in the sale are eleven works by Banksy, famed for being a man of mystery, including his iconic Love Rat and controversial Toxic Mary pieces. Prices in the sale begin from as little as £80.

At great value for money, prices in the auction are set to appeal to bidders looking to build a collection, or those simply in search of the perfect Christmas gift.
