first edition, second state with ‘T.H.’ in imprint, initial imprimatur f., lacking final blank, late 17th / early 18th century ink marginalia, occasionally extensive, imprimatur f. chipped and laid down, title loose, 2K1 closed tear to outer margin, some spotting and soiling, contemporary speckled calf, sympathetically rebacked, joints starting, corners worn, rubbed, [Keynes 73; Wing B5159], folio, by T.[Thomas] H.[Harper] for Edward Dod, 1646.
