4 parts in 1 vol., first edition , lacking half-title, each part with title in red and black with engraved vignette, engraved head- and tail-pieces and some initials, numerous engraved illustrations in text including Tiepolo's busts by Zucchi, with an additional large folding engraved plate by Zucchi entitled 'Il Nuovo Teatro dell'Accademia Filarmonica di Verona' incorporating 4 images (plan, views etc.) bound in part 3, a very clean copy, bookplate of Ingestre Hall on front pastedown, contemporary calf, spine gilt, joints split, rather worn, folio, Verona, J.Vallarsi & P.Berno, 1732-31-32-31.
⁂ Important work on the city of Verona, with parts on the history, literature, arts & monuments, and amphitheatres respectively. Part 4 comprises Maffei's treatise De gli anfiteatri which was first published separately, in Verona in 1728.
