(George Vaughan, general, army officer and politician, 1752-1832).- Pratt (Samuel Jackson) Gleanings Through Wales, Holland and Westphalia, 2 vol., George Vaughan Hart's copy with his ink signatures on titles and on front pastedown of vol. I and initials on front pastedown of vol. II, slightly browned, contemporary tree calf, corners bumped, gilt spines, 8vo, Dublin, for P. Wogan, 1797.
⁂ Hart served in North America and took part in action on the attack of Charlestown, Long Island, Brandywine, and Germantown. Later he served in India where he was dismissed for malfeasance. He entered Parliament in order to clear his name, where he spoke on Irish matters, and later, became governor of Londonderry and Culmore.
