or, a Treatise concerning the Calculation of all Manner of Numbers belonging to all Sorts of Clocks . As also the Calculation of the Lengths of all Sorts of Pendulums, for the Benefit of the Publick, first edition , woodcut ornaments, old ink inscriptions "J.W.Bd.1790" at head of title and "J.Richardson./Jos. Walker Brad:/ 1791" on front free endpaper, with a few ink annotations to pp.68-69 in the same hand and tipped-in leaf of notes in manuscript headed "Bradford Piece-Hall Clock…J.Walkers Spring Clock made by Tho.Ogden…" with details and tooth counts, a little spotted and browned, later book-label of William Leatham on front pastedown, contemporary sprinkled calf, rubbed, upper joint split, lower cracked, spine ends and corners a little worn and chipped, 12mo, for the Author at the Leg and Dial in Grubstreet, 1726.
⁂ Only known copy of a previously unrecorded early 18th century horological work . The author, a clock-maker, became a Free Brother of the Clockmakers' Company in 1688; only a few of his clocks survive.
