An Edwardian mahogany bracket clock, the French eight-day gong striking movement with single sheet silvered brass break-arch Roman numeral dial signed HAMPTON & SONS LTD, PALL MALL EAST to centre within foliate engraved spandrels to angles beneath eagle motif to arch, the break-arch single pad top case with brass carrying handles and rectangular fishscale sound frets to sides, on moulded skirt base with brass bun feet.
Clock will beat but very weakly, strike train currently not working however no visible damage so probably just requires clean and obverhaul. Dial appears free from damage, case has a few minor bumps, scuffs and other faults commenserate with age and use otherwise is free of significant faults. Clock has winder but no case key.
