A set of four Georgian silver egg cups, by John Emes, London 1807, of usual form, with moulded girth and reeded foot, with an egg waiter frame, apparently only having the makers mark, E.H.R., lion passant, and date letter for 1953, to the swing handle of the central fixed salt, the frame also having mounts to place egg spoons, gadrooned rims and on reeded bracket supports, egg cups 6.5cm tall, 232g (7.4 oz) gross, frame 19cm tall including the swing handle, 13.5cm across, 356g (11.4 oz) gross
Marks to the egg cups are fair to good. All have knocks to the foot resultung to them being distorted, also slightly bent in each instance. With surface scratching and some light dents in places. They are of good gauge.
The later frame with part marks only to the handle. Slightly bent and distorted, otherwise no breaks or reapirs detected.
