An English black basalt commemorative teapot and cover for the Battle of Vittoria in the Peninsular Campaign of the Napoleonic Wars , circa 1814, modelled in relief with an oval panel of Arthur, 1st Duke of Wellington (at the time Marquess of) garlanded by Britannia and attended by trophies of war etc. with ribbon inscribed WELLINGTON , verso a panel inscribed India, Portugal & Spain VITTORIA 21ST JUNE 1813 , with lion mask spout and serpent handle, un-marked, 26.5cm in length; and another black basalt teapot and cover , 22cm in length
