Sold for £2000
A Victorian rhinoceros horn and yellow metal mounted cane, last quarter 19th century, with knob grip above the tapering shaft modelled to simulate thornwood, the yellow metal collar monogrammed 'CM', with brass ferrule, 75cm high
The horn bears the usual naturally occuring lines and faults within it. These are not splits but are inherrent to the way in which the horn originally grew.
Generally speaking, very good shape overall.
