An exhibition quality 5 inch gauge model of a Leek and Manifold narrow gauge 2-6-4 side tank locomotive, built by the late Mr H.R.L. Murmann of Ashby-de-la-Zouch and R.L. Moore Engineering of Stapleford, Leicestershire, the copper super-heated boiler with fittings including pressure gauge, two sight glasses with fitted brass protectors, regulator, steam brake, clack, by-pass, reverse control, safety valve, two whistles, cab controlled drain cocks and lever operated firebox doors, the chasssis detail including twin outside cylinders with slide valves and Walschaert's valve gear, fitted lubrication and brass oiler cups, eccentric driven feed pump and fitted leaf springs, with fitted head lamp, matching ratchet jacks, vacuum hoses to front and rear, fitted steps, hand rails, oval plaques to side tanks 'E.R.Calthorp Leek & Manifold Valley Light Railway / Kitson & Co Ltd, Leeds 1904' and oval plaques to cab sides 'E.R. Calthorp's system of narrow gauge light railways of heavy traffic capacity, 3 Crosby Square, London E.C.', finished in maroon and black livery with cream lining and polished brightwork, 340cm long, cab 33cm wide; together with an associated driving trolley, the chassis of Leek & Manifold outline.
Boiler History: None available. Locomotive not steamed. Some photographic history included, with receipts from R.L. Moore Engineering totalling over £20,000, for parts constructed and work undertaken.
