A well engineered 5 inch gauge model of London & North Eastern Railway Class B1 4-6-0 tender locomotive 'Roedeer', 1040 , built to the Martin Evans design as described in The Model Engineer from December 1959 to December 1960, the copper boiler with fittings including two pressure gauges, regulator, two sight glasses, whistle and safety valve, the chassis with twin outside cylinders of 1 11/16 inch bore by 2 1/4 inch stroke, with fluted motion, Walschaert's valve gear, fitted steam brakes, cab-operated drain cocks, oilers and cab reverse lever, fitted steps, hand irons, lamp irons and lamps, the tender with hand feed pump, brakes, steps and hand rails, also with a North British Locomotive Co. Ltd maker's plate, finished in black livery with polished bright-work, 170cm long, the cab 25cm wide.
