A rare original 1930s patent document, for Means of Adusting Wings of Aircraft , awarded to Geoffrey Terence Roland Hill, of Yeovil, assignor to Petters Ltd of Yeovil, issued by the United States of America, document No.1868417, dated 19th July 1932, complete with four descriptive pages and two pages illustrating the 'Pterodactyl' type aircraft involved with this patent, with engraved vignette to cover, blue-ribbon bound with embossed red seal, fold at centre, folio format A4 size.
Note: Professor Geoffrey Terence Roland Hill, who died in 1955, was an aeronautical engineer of note working on tailess aircraft for Westland, barrage balloon cable cutters, and the experimental 'aero-isoclinic' wing for Short Brothers.
