James James-Crook is our Director of Valuation Services, with special focus on Law Firms, Insurers and Brokers. He is also handles all Institute of Legacy Management related matters. With 35 years' experience in the auction industry, he is an experienced auctioneer, lecturer and public speaker.

Having joined Phillips Fine Art Auctioneers & Valuers in 1977, James completed the Diploma Course at the Study Centre for the History of Fine & Decorative Arts, 1979-1980. He was subsequently appointed Director of Modern British and Irish Pictures & Sculpture at Phillips Fine Art Auctioneers with particular specialisation in works of the Newlyn & St Ives Schools. He was also responsible for establishing Phillips' presence in Australia and was International Business Development Director before being appointed Phillips Global Head of Group Professional Services.
