Dreweatts has a well-earned reputation as one of the leading regional furniture and works of art salerooms in the country, with broad expertise in both UK and international markets.

The department offers the full range of high quality antiques and decorative objects for the home and garden through a series of carefully curated auctions. The yearly sales calendar features three Fine Furniture auctions, regular Interiors sales and monthly General Sales and all auctions include Furniture, Carpets, Paintings, Clocks, Ceramics, Works of Art and Garden Ornament.

Items offered at auction span a wide age range and estimated value. A typical auction will contain objects dating back to the 17th century and right through the 18th and 19th centuries to pieces made more recently in period style. We present items by key makers and designers such as Chippendale, George Bullock and Gillows, high Victorian and 19th century decorative pieces by designers such as Pugin and Continental and Anglo-Colonial works. Our specialists also cover English and Continental works of art such as bronzes and sculpture including Grand Tour items, French 19th century bronzes, lighting, Tunbridge Ware, caddies and treen as well as rugs, carpets, textiles and garden statuary.

In addition, we hold numerous successful Estate Sales and ˜full house contents sales throughout the year, either on-location or at our auction rooms.

Our broad range of specialists covering all auction disciplines ensures that everything within a property, from furniture, paintings and carpets, through to clocks and works of art, is given the attention it deserves.
